Q & A
Based In: Leeds & Bradford
About yourself and your practice: I am an artist whose work is based upon my experiences within the UK graffiti scene since the mid 80’s.
Through these experiences I have developed and experimented with the concept of creating marks within locations in acts of portrayal vandalism.
This imagery is framed within our ornate world, diverse and subversive these unique paradox moments form a body of work that questions the onlookers visual representation and ideals towards the every day task of being.
When did it click: Never clicked, nor clocked.
How do you have your tea: My tea is black, sweet and tastes a lot like coffee.
One piece of advice you have been given: Peter Cook once said. “One of the ways to avoid being beaten by the system is to laugh at it.”
Inspiration for this project: Paint someone musical, who is interesting and from Manchester. I like to keep things simple, saves ink.
